Ann Stringer – Ann trained as a fashion designer and later as an Adult Education Tutor for art and textiles, and studied for an arts degree with the Open University. Ann enjoys painting in acrylics and pastels and experimenting with mixed media. From her time in fashion she retains an interest in texture and pattern, and a love of pure colour which she applies to her paintings. Ann is available for collage/mixed media workshops.

Audrey Mitchell – From an early career in magazine layout and design, Audrey has developed a love of colour and narrative in her work. She is currently a member of Ashtead Art Group and Breech Lane Group and works in all media, but particularly favours the techniques of soft pastel.

Barbara Felts – Barbara participates in the Surrey Artists Open Studios. Breech Lane Group and exhibits locally with Ashtead Art Group. To develop her personal style she has experimented with a number of mediums but remains particularly fond of watercolour with its transparency and freshness. She also enjoys working in pastel where she can indulge her love of vibrant colour.

Celia Di Massimo – Celia has a passion for paint and experiments in every medium and subject. She takes inspiration from the many artists and tutors with whom she has had the good fortune to study and is drawn to portraying the drama of life in all its forms. She takes commissions, especially for animal portraits. She is a member of Ashtead Art Group, and Breech Lane Group.

Gillian Hein – Gillian belongs to both the Tadworth, and Epsom and Ewell Art Groups. She normally prefers to paint landscapes and is fascinated by the effect of light, reflections and shadows. She is particularly inspired by the beautiful scenery in Surrey, (this links in with her work as a volunteer with CPRE Surrey, a charity which works to protect and enhance the English countryside).

Gillian Manners – Gillian has been painting all her life but has only started exhibiting since retiring from her career as a radiographer. She works in all media but paints mostly in watercolour and pastel. She is a member of Ashtead Art Group and Breech Lane Group and an active member of her church.

Janet Abbott – Janet graduated from Wimbledon School or Art as a Ceramic Designer but after a short period in the industry changed to teaching Secondary pupils covering every aspect of Art. After teaching she embarked on Fine Art, Botanical drawing and then experimenting with numerous media and variety of subjects.

Janet Billham – Janet loves painting animals, flowers and landscapes in watercolours and pastels. She enjoys going to various workshops to leam different techniques in both mediums, and is a member of Ashtead Art Group, Breech Lane Group and an associate member of Tadworth Art Group.

Joy Mulvey
Originally a make-up artist for T V and Film, Joy now paints in various forms and has benefited from attending workshops and holidaying with various artists. She is a member of Tadworth Art Group and Breech Lane Group.

Pamela Shingler SFP – Pamela works mostly in watercolour and has always been interested in floral paintings and is a retired member of The Society of Floral Painters. However, she also enjoys painting other subjects and using mixed media. Pamela is a member of Ashtead Art Group and organises regular open Workshops at Breech Lane Community Centre with a range of visiting artists and tutors.

Penelope Corlett – Having moved to Guildford Penny enjoys painting and attending workshops with the Breech Lane Group and exhibits with Surrey Hills Artists at Denbies. She enjoys painting in all mediums and derives great pleasure from painting children and animals in pastel and local landscapes in oils.

Verity Walsgrove – Verity exhibits regularly in Surrey. She is a member of Guildford Art Society & Ashtead Art Group. Drawing her inspiration primarily from the more striking images of the natural world, she veers towards the semi-abstract and her skies, land and seascapes are soft, fluid and expressive. She paints in all media but her favourites are watercolours and acrylic inks.
